In 1966 the John Martin’s department store held a Centenary Christmas Pageant in recognition of the store’s 100th Anniversary year. The Christmas Pageant, developed by John Martin’s Chairman Sir Edward Hayward, was first held in 1933. This extract of film shows behind the scenes shots, footage of Sir Hayward and South Australian Governor Sir Edric Bastyan and scenes of the Centenary Pageant.
